What does our shredding service cost?
After weighing your paperwork and getting a total weight we charge £1.00 per KG but with a minimum charge of £20.00. Now we have your total weight, we will shred your paperwork at some part of the day. Once your paperwork has been shredded it is then taken away to another shredding site which then shreds the paperwork again and bales the shredded paper into 500KG bales. It then goes off for recycling and eventually it is stocked on a shelf as tissue paper.
How does our paper shredder work?
Our paper shredder is made and designed for large offices which is known as a departmental shredder. It can chew and destroy between 60 and 80 sheets of paper per pass so it is made to shred things fast and efficiently. Our mini muncher will shred about 15KG in 5 mins so it doesn’t take long to shred your paperwork. Simply bring your loose paperwork to us and we will destroy it the same day. Our large shredder doesn’t suffer from overheating and very rarely blocks up while shredding your paperwork. If the shredder does struggle with some certain items of paperwork it will automatically reverse and then try again to shred this particular item. If this still doesn’t work, we can remove the paperwork and pull the lump apart and feed the problem items in small batches.
What can we shred?
Our paper shredder can shred and destroy most items that can pass through the shedding teeth
without blocking it up. The only item that our shredder struggles with are extra thick diaries, the pages will either need ripped out or these items can be placed in our shredding bags and secured using the zip ties and join the other bags that go off for daily bulk shredding.
